Standards

Standard	American NFPA 260A/UFAC Class 1
	Official standard: United States Recommended standard: Canada
Principle	The test material is put on a chair simulation and is exposed to a burning cigarette.
Test method	A test rig is constructed, and exposed to a burning cigarette covered with sheeting material. The cigarette has to burn its entire length.
Result	The test material is categorised Class I or Class II. If an obvious ignition occurs, the material is Class II. If not, the char on the vertical panel is measured to determine the classification.
