FR-One’s pledge to sustainability in textiles

Organisations and individuals across all sections of our society are searching for concrete actions they can take towards sustainable business practices. However, environmental sustainability in the textiles industry is a complicated topic with no quick or easy solutions. This is why at FR-One and in our wider group, we focus first on what we can control.

What ‘sustainability’ metrics can we impact as a textiles company?

01.

The kilometres travelled by our textile products and our people.

02.

The environmental impact of our packaging.

03.

The sustainability of our fabric suppliers.

04.

Cutting down on textile waste through digital fabric sampling.

05.

The environmental impact of our overall textiles manufacturing and logistics supply chains.

We use these metrics to set ambitious goals for ourselves. They help us to make concrete decisions, based on what we need to improve on, and how,
and where.

But we can’t stop there.

It was this defining moment that helped us form a partner relationship with Futureproofed and their team of environmental sustainability experts.

Under their guidance we are strategically moulding FR-One’s business plans and developing our sustainability actions according to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a
"blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all".
